Story behind the painting:
The inspiration came from a sunrise photo my youngest daughter sent me the other day. She told me she watched it with Nana… and with God. And in that moment, I could almost see her and my mom standing there together, with them waves rolling in, hand in hand, just like they always did.
It reminded me that love doesn’t end when someone leaves this world. Sometimes it shows back up in the sky, in the water, or in a sunrise that feels like a big ol’ hug from Heaven.
So I painted her sunrise, the one she shared with God, with Nana right there beside her. Every brushstroke carries a piece of that memory of what we’ve lost, what we’ve been blessed with, and how love always finds its way back to us.
