About the painting:
Painted March 2025. My youngest girl Megan Little asked me to paint a white pelican the other day. And then a few hours later on the exact same day, a long time friend posted some beautiful pictures of white pelicans and other birds he had photographed and then was kind enough to send me some pictures he had taken to use as references. I did my best to sketch and paint one of the photos he sent me with acrylic paint on gessobord. Then named it “Gettin Gussied Up” 11x14” gessobord acrylic.
