About the painting:

Painted July 2025. Just beyond the cabins, past the playground, where the crooked river winds along the edge of the state park, you’ll find one of the most peaceful spots to catch a sunset.
Alicia and I have watched that old ball of fire dip below the horizon in a lot of places, but this one? It just sticks with you. Maybe it’s the way the light hits the water, or how everything gets quiet like the world’s holding its breath. Whatever it is, it’s really special.
I did my best to capture the moment in acrylic. Tough competition, Mother Nature tends to win these battles, but it turned out to be a pretty decent reminder. And, I picked up a few new tricks while painting it. A few more finishing touches and it’ll be ready to sign and frame up. Named this one: “Where The River Glows”.
